Our Crypto/Digital Assets specialist, Daniel Dibden was invited to take part in the HashKey Panel Discussion on “Digital Asset Custody: Technology, Regulation and Commercial Trends” last week. With an audience of financial institutions, legal and accounting professionals, FinTech Association Hong Kong (FTAHK) members, cybersecurity experts, start-ups and other relevant market players, Daniel was able to share our opinion on digital asset custody from the insurance perspective.
The evening covered Safe custody of digital assets and primarily key management. Key management refers to the way that private keys, which are the pieces of digital data that allow asset holders to sign transactions that move assets from one account to another account, are generated, stored, and used to sign transactions.
